Welcome to IwonArt web gallery. My name is Iwona Matlakowska, born in 1978, Poland and now live and work in Chicago, USA. 

I have started painting and drawing since early childhood. Majority of the paintings that I create are from my head but I also sometimes paint from photo pictures.

Big influence on my art has the work of these two artists; Wojciech Kossak and his ability to express emotion and Adam Styka with his ability to portray light and shadows in the live portraits. 

The Graphic Design education has allowed me to share an equal interest in digital photography. I often use Photoshop to come up with ideas for my paintings or edit photo images like the HOME page photo.

 

The prices for my work depend on the size of the canvas and the medium I have used. 

Canvas height from 40" and up    - $300 to $500 for acrylic.

Canvas height from 24" up to 36" - $150 to $200 for acrylic. 

Canvas height from 14" up to 20" - $50 to $100 for oil pastel.

All watercolor work - $20 to $100
